I have continued to read the book Twilight. As I read further into it, i get more intrigued and cannot put it down. Just like all my friends said, the book is way better than the movie. The best thing about this book is it's entertaining. I cannot stand books that are boring and I loose interest in.
In my book Edward has finally revealed his identity and who he is to Bella. For some strange reason Bella is not afraid of him at all. She is not frightened or scared that the man she loves is a vampire and at any second could kill her.
What is going on in my book right now is that Edward has finally invited Bella to his house hold. When she goes there Edward's family tries there very best to welcome her. After they get there they decide to go play a game of baseball. However, the encounter a massive problem. Another group a dangerous and vicious vampires show up. The families plan was for Bella to stand in the back so they would not notice her. It was working just fine until the wind blow Bella's intriguing and delightful smell straight into the vampires face. The hunt is on.

I have just stated a new book called Twilight. Every person that has read it has given me the same review. They all is it's a page turner even if you don't enjoy reading. Also, i went and saw the movie and everyone said the book was ten times better. Therefor, i decided to take their word.
I have just gotten a couple pages into the fourth chapter. There is a girl named Isabella but everyone calls her Bella. She has just moved in with her dad to a town called Forks. In her biology class she sits next to a boy named Edward. There is awkward tension between them and she cannot figure out why. Why she went to the office to grab something she saw him in there and he was asking them to switch him out of biology. This just lit Bella up. She did not know what she was doing wrong, however, she was determined to figure it out.
She was in the parking lot one day and saw him standing far away across the parking lot. Then all of a sudden a car came flying at her and she was doomed to be hit. Somehow, Edward had gotten to her in a flash. Edward had saved her but she was lost in confusion. Know one had seen him so everyone thought she hit her head really hard. However, Bella's determination to figure him out was getting stronger. She knew there was something about him but just didn't know what.

I have recently taken on another book called He's Just Not That Into You. It is a little confusing but i absolutely love it! The format of the book is girls stating there boy problems and people, somewhat like a counselor, answer them. I believe mostly every girl would enjoy the book extremely. I think the best thing about the book is it is very easy for the reader to connect to. When the author gives advice or states the problem he does it in a way that you can relate to. I never want to put it down cause it draws my attention so much. However, i guarantee most guys would not enjoy this book at all. So if you are a guy I'd advise you not to read it. I am not far into the book but this is by far my favorite book i have read the whole quarter.

I am continuing to read the book Holes. I am really enjoying the adventure and suspense it is building up too. So much has gone in last three chapters it is so hard to take in! It is a little confusing when it comes to the plot, however, all the details really embrace the book.
Right now Stanley and Zero are forming a close relationship. They are "in it together." That is until Stanley finds out if it wasn't for Zero, he never would have been brought here in the first place. This upset in their friendship really frustrates both of them. However, they could not let this come between them and their pack. They made a deal that Stanley would help Zero learn to read, and in return Zero would help stanley with his wholes. Also, a lot has happened with the KB thing. All the counslers at the camp are all freaking out trying to find more of thing like this. The rewards keep getting bigger and keep promotting the diggers to work for something. I am getting close to the end and excited to see if the ending is as good as the beginning !

I have continued to read the book Holes. What is going on in my book is Stanley is trying to get used to being at this camp. Every morning he gets up bright and early and all the convicts drive to a desert area where there is only sand. They get canteens of water, but they only get filled up twice a day. All the boys sit out in the scortching hot desert and dig wholes. They are not sure why they do this. However, they are told if anyone finds anything that has some value to it you will immediately get picked up and get the day off. This gives the boys some inspiration and something to work for. Stanely is getting so exhausted. He has not adapted to his new form of life.
At the camp the boys have a relationship like family would. They all form a bond. Basically, they join together. They all do not want to be there, but do try to make the best of it. There is one guy that confronted Stanley and told him that if he finds anything to give it to him, it would only be far. So one day Stanley was so tired and felt like giving up. His whole was only waist deep. He thought he had something, but he figured he was just so tired he was seeing things. He kept digging and then found a gold tube, about as long and as wide as teh second finger on his right hand. He could see on the outline of a heart, with the letters K B etched inside it.

I just have started reading the book Holes. I have seen the movie but have not read the book. I thought it would be interesting to compare the two. The book starts out the same way the movie does. Stanley is sent to Camp Green Lake. His crime, however was different from everyone elses. His family had an unlucky curse do to his great-great-grandfather. He was walking and got hit in the head with a pair of shoes. Well, these were not just ordinary shoes these were shoes stolen. He got framed for the crime and his punishment was unwillingly being sent to camp. Stanley was a good kid. He didn't get in trouble. He did see a postive in the situation which was he might actually make some friends. He was always kind of a loner. When the bus arrived at the camp the bus driver said, "be careful." This made Stanley start to worry about where he was and what he was going to have to do. It was hot outside and he was in the middle of a desert. He met Mr. Sir and he told him all the rules of the camp. Stanley realized right then, this will not be easy.

freedom writers
I finished the book The Freedom Writers Diary over the week end and loved it. The book was overwelming to me. It really opened my eye to how bad some teenagers have it. Every single one of them fought to live each day. It was horrible the threats each teenager would get on a daily basis.
The book finished on a positive note. It proved that color and race can unit and not always be separated. It is possible to join together and be friends with a different culture. At the end of the book all the kids realized how stupid and dumb it was to be figthing daily, in fact many stopped all the drugs, alcohol, and fighting. They grew a strong mind and together united in the fight against segregation. I think that this book is excellent and recommend it to everybody.

The book has shocked me with how horrifying their lives are. Everyday the struggle just to survive. I don't get how they can live through all the terror in the daily life. Every time i think i have it hard and will always remember this book.
Where I am at in the book they are just starting their junior year of high school. After being able to have Ms. Gruwell be their teacher again they are excited and determined to succeed to the best ability before their graduation. There class has developed a "family" atmosphere. They all know about each other and love each other. They do everything together. It is shocking what just one person can do that will change everything. Ms. Gruwell had never intended to accomplish what she did. She developed a mother like love towards her students.

Freedom Writers
I am reading the book The Freedom Writers Diary. I am almost half way through and have found a lot of the issues related to a world wide problem in a daily life. However, i was surprisingly shocked at some of the incidents in the book. The format of the book is set up like the students are writing to a diary which you read.
The book is about a teacher entering the ninth grade English class in Long Beach. The teenagers growing up here have a very harsh cruel life. There are crimes including death, stealing, and physical and mental abuse. It's horrifying what the kids have to go through. In their diaries each day the state all the facts about there life and there experiences.
A lot of the book is about race. Race is, in my opinion, one of the main problems at schools, community events, work, and in general a humans life. The school is made up of various different races. What Ms. Gruwell, the new teacher of ninth grade, is trying to do is show her class how the world needs change and themselves. She has taught them about many historical things such as the holocaust. The students actually start to enjoy the class and want to work at it.
The book is an eye opener for me because it has also showed me what is happening in the world. I am enjoying this book very much and am eager to keep reading.
